Goal setting

I think I need to set myself a goal. It would be an achievement for me to lose 1stone and keep it off. Overall I need to lose 6 stones which is 84 pounds. I have considered joining a gym and going 3 or 4 mornings in the week. However I am not sure if this is possible. I love my sleep too much and then to face work afterwards is a major drag. One friend said its all about being committed to my goals and once I start I would get an addiction to it. I just do not know. The prices I have been quoted seem to average around £30-40 per month. I need to make a start. I need a personal trainer.
